PHILLIPSTON- Beverly Fay (LaRose) Chadbourne, 79, of Phillipston, died Saturday, May 2, in her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born September 22, 1935, in Gardner, daughter of the late William and Angeline (Vermette) LaRose. She graduated from Athol High School. Mrs. Chadbourne worked for Standard Chair in Gardner and retired from Simplex Time Recorder.
Mrs. Chadbourne was happiest when surrounded by family. There wasn’t an event or occasion of her children or grandchildren that she missed. She enjoyed traveling in their RV, visiting every state in the United States with the exception of Hawaii. She also enjoyed several ski trips to Europe. Beverly will be remembered for her extensive and talented needlework. She enjoyed knitting and was an avid quilter. She loved to go fabric shopping and leaves many unfinished quilt projects for her friends and family to complete. She also enjoyed collecting bears.
She leaves her husband of 62 years, Humphrey Chadbourne, III; two daughters, Valinda Kwasny and her husband, Thomas of Moosup, CT, and Vanessa Breton and her husband, Jeannot of Athol; two sons, Humphrey “Butch†Chadbourne, IV and his wife, Veronica, and William Chadbourne and his wife Ann, all of Phillipston; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
The memorial service will be held Monday, May 11, at 11:00 A.M. in Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange. Burial will follow in Lower Cemetery in Phillipston.
A calling hour will precede the memorial service, Monday, May 11, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.
