GARDNER- Bonnie G. Romanson, a lifelong resident of Gardner, MA passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2019. She was 70 years old.
Born on March 19, 1949, she was a beloved daughter of the late Walter and Genevieve (Fedorchuck) Romanson. Bonnie was the youngest of three children.
Bonnie graduated in 1968 from Gardner High School and later attended Greenfield Community College where she graduated with an Associates Degree in Business.
Bonnie’s career included working at the former Gardner Savings Bank and later at Norman Wironen Photography in Gardner. Bonnie recently retired from the Gardner Visiting Nurses Association where she lovingly sat vigil at the bedside of hospice patients offering a caring presence to them and their families.
She was a member of the Friends of the Levi Heywood Memorial Library and was a welcomed volunteer at their annual used book sales. As a member of the Gardner Museum, she was a docent and ticket seller at the annual Festival of Trees and enjoyed attending museum sponsored events. For many years, you would find Bonnie working at the Gardner polls on Election Days. Bonnie was also a proud member of the Girl Scouts for 64 years where she served in many capacities including troop leader, advisor, camp counselor and service team chair.
Bonnie was a faithful parishioner of Holy Annunciation Orthodox Church in Maynard where she served on Parish Council and loved greeting guests at the church bazaars.
Surviving Bonnie are her beloved friends and her dear cousin Daniel Gobush and his wife Nancy from Iowa.

Friends are invited to honor and remember Bonnie on Thursday, June 20th from 5-7 PM, at the Mack Funeral Home in Gardner. Panikhida Service will be held at 6:30. Her funeral service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM, at Holy Annunciation Orthodox Church in Maynard. Interment will follow at the Green Bower Cemetery in Gardner.
