ATHOL - Bonnie J. (Rathburn) Woodbury, 75 of 43 Colonial Drive, Athol, died Thursday, November 30, 2006, in the Farren Care Center, Montague, MA. She was born in East Templeton, on February 27, 1931, the daughter of the late Orson and the late Mary (Edson) Rathburn. Bonnie grew up in Templeton and Phillipston and graduated from Athol High School in 1949. She was a resident of Phillipston for forty years before moving to Athol. Mrs. Woodbury worked for a non-profit organization - Rural Housing Improvement in Winchendon for several years as an admistrative assistant. She was a member of the Athol-Orange Baptist Church. She enjoyed participating in local minstral shows. She enjoyed dancing, hiking, cycling, kyaking and the outdoors. She leaves three daughters, Nancy L. Strom and her husband Roger of Athol, Brenda S. Woodbury of Orange, Virginia J. Strong and her husband Bill of Orange; three sons, Charles T. Woodbury of Athol, Bruce A. Woodbury and his wife Susan of Athol, Paul D. Woodbury and his wife Kim of Wesley Chapel, NC; three sisters, Anna Louise Angelini of Somerset, MA, Lorraine Anders of Flamouth, MA, Irene Cusato of NC; one brother, Orson Rathburn, Jr. of Orange; one step brother, Anthony Angelini of Dedham; seventeen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brother, Harris Rathburn, step brother, Orlando Angelini, by three step sisters, Louise Gaudet, Claire Hansbury, and Jennie Rea, and by her daughter in-law, Joyce Woodbury. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at 11:00 am in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol. Burial will follow in Lower Cemetery, Phillipston. A calling hour will be held Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Athol Veterans Park Development Corporation 134 Chestnut Hill Ave., Athol,MA 01331.
