WESTMINSTER- Bradford E. Bowser, 67, of Westminster, died Sunday, February 15, in UMass Medical Center after being stricken ill.
Brad was born April 24, 1947, in Leominster, son of the late Eugene and Doris (Dionne). He graduated from Leominster High School, Mount Wachusett Community College, and received his Bachelor’s Degree from UMass Amherst. Brad served in the U.S. Air Force in the Vietnam Era. He was stationed in Germany for 4 years. He was an MP and earned the rank of Sergeant. He proudly served as Honor guard for presidents Nixon and Johnson. He worked as a salesman for Dubois Chemical, Smith-Kline-Beecham, and Martignetti Spirits. Brad was a member of the Franco American Club in Leominster.
Brad will be remembered as being a fun loving guy, always having a good joke to tell, and enjoying good times with friends and family. He loved music and British comedy. He will be missed by his family, many friends, and his presence at Forty’s and Christopher’s Pub.
He was predeceased by his mother and step father, Doris and Robert Simard, his father and step mother, Eugene and Gloria Bowser, and three brothers, John, Mark, and Billy Bowser.
He leaves his former wife of 40 years, Celia (Tocci) Bowser of Largo, FL; two daughters, Carrie Bowser with whom he lived, and Amy Hoeltge and her husband Evan of VT; one granddaughter, Molly Hoeltge of VT; one brother, Baron Bowser of Lunenburg; two sisters, Anne Peterson of Leominster and Cindy Valiton of Ashburnham; many nieces and nephews; his best friend, Steve Buss of Leominster.
A celebration of Life will be held Sunday, February 22, at 6:00 P.M. at the Franco American Club, 300 Water St., Leominster.
Burial will be private with military honors in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.
