Bradford S. Green,

Bradford S. Green, Sr. Athol – Bradford S. Green Sr., 60, of Sanders Street, died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Heywood Hospital in Gardner surrounded by his loving family.        Brad was born in Gardner, Massachusetts, June 1, 1953, the son of William and Marie (Duguay) Green.  He grew up in Athol where he has lived all of his life, attending Athol schools.         He worked for Saloom Furniture Company in Winchendon for many years, was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, kayaking and many other outdoor activities.  He also loved animals and raised several different types of birds.  Brad most especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.       He leaves a son, Bradford S. Green, Jr. of SC, a brother, John Green and his wife Stephanie of Orange, two sisters, Sharon Giuffre and her husband Matteo of Athol and Diane White and her husband Mike of Athol and several nieces and nephews.  He also leaves his cat Cubby.       A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Gethsemane Cemetery in Athol.  There are no calling hours and in lieu of flowers the family suggests donation may be made in Brad’s name to the Athol Area Animal Shelter, for the care of animals, c/o the Athol Police Department, 280 Exchange Street, Athol, MA 01331.  Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main Street, Athol is directing arrangements.  For further information or to share a memory with the family go to: www.higginsoconnorfuneralhome.com. $(document).ready(function(){ });
