FITCHBURG – Brian Gallagher, 51, of 108 Saint Bernard St. Fitchburg, died October 23, 2014 in Health Alliance Hospital Leominster Campus. He was born on August 11, 1963 in Fitchburg, the son of Howard Gallagher and Margaret (Anayak) Gallagher.  His mother was born in Little Diomede Island in the Bearing Sea. Brian was very proud of his Alaskan Native heritage. He grew up in Fitchburg. He worked many years at the Rand Whitney Packaging Company in Leominster. He enjoyed working on cars, well known as a weekend mechanic. He loved football and was an avid Patriots fan.  He loved NASCAR and never missed a race.   Always willing to help, he never sat still and always was willing to help people. He leaves a son, Brian M. Gallagher and his wife Shelby of Kingwood, Texas; a daughter Ashley Lin Gallagher of Houston, Texas; his partner of 16 years, Elizabeth Beauvais; two brothers Howard Gallagher and his wife Coraley of Ashburnham; Wesley Gallagher of Ashburnham; a sister Shelley Ciccolini and her husband Scott Therrien of St. Petersburg, Florida; two grandchildren Mason Howard Eugene Gallagher and Claire V. White and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Daniel Gallagher. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. in the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster. A calling hour will be held Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.  Burial will be private at a later date   $(document).ready(function(){ });
