FITCHBURG- Brian F. Tucker, 73, of Fitchburg, died Tuesday, July 18, at UMass Medical Center after a brief illness.
Brian was born February 4, 1944, son of the late Donald and Rosemary (Ettleman) Tucker. He earned his Bachelor Degree in Engineering and worked many years as a propulsion engineer for McDonald Douglas Aerospace. During his tenure at McDonald Douglas, Brian worked on many projects for NASA. Over the years, he was a Navy Seabee, and also worked as a fireman, hairdresser, and mail carrier.
Brian lived his life to the fullest and had a mind of his own. He loved cooking and was especially talented on the grill. He enjoyed remote control planes, fishing, and motorcycles, especially his Indian Motorcycle. He had a special love for his pets.
He leaves his wife of 18 years, Anne (Gagne) Tucker; four daughters, Teresa Conlon Tucker of Greenville, NH, Amy Boudreau and Lynn Radford, both of Fitchburg, and Tina Zubroad of CA; one son, Michael Tucker of CA; three granddaughters, Colleen Conlon, Keisha Radford, and Megan Tucker; three grandsons: Zack Tucker, Tyson Zubroad, and Jessie Zubroad; two brothers, Mike Ettleman of CA,and Todd Ettleman of CO; one sister, Cheryl Martin of OK; many nieces and nephews. Brian was predeceased by a sister, Cindy Tucker and two brothers, Jeff Tucker, and Craig Tucker.
A private celebration of life will be held.
