Brian Vysocky, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 12, 2025 at the age of 71.
Brian was married to his soulmate and best friend Sandy with whom he shared over 50 beautiful years of marriage. He leaves behind his children, Amy and Paul Thibault of North Attleboro, Melissa Lyesiuk and her partner Luke Weitz of Westminster, and Brian Jr. and Sofia of Hudson, NH, four grandchildren, Ava, Rhianna, Sam and Richlyn.
He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Together, Brian and Sandy built a life rich in love, laughter, and adventure. Their days were filled with dancing, car shows, card games, movies, and dinners with friends. Their bond was a shining example of true partnership.
Brian had a deep passion for travel — whether it was camping under the stars, exploring the shores of New England, cruising to new destinations, or relaxing in Jamaica, he embraced each journey with enthusiasm. A man of many talents, Brian was a gifted chef and restaurateur. He and Sandy ran the beloved Sandy’s Place Restaurant, turning guests into lifelong friends and making their establishment a cherished part of the community. He was also a devoted bowler, participating in numerous leagues over the years, and loved fishing — especially when teaching his children and grandchildren how to cast a line. Brian’s impact went beyond his family and business. He played a key role in launching the local community transit program, demonstrating his deep commitment to helping others and improving the lives of those around him. He will be remembered for his warmth, humor, generosity, and the way he made everyone feel like family. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Brian’s memory may be made to the Athol Animal Shelter (North Quabbin Regional Animal Control) or the American Diabetes Foundation.
