LEOMINSTER, MA - Carleton B. Stillings, 86, formerly of Ashburnham, Templeton and Gardner, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, September 15, 2021 in Leominster Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Leominster, MA. He was born in Littleton, NH on May 5, 1935, son of the late Chester and Leona (Croft) Stillings. Carleton graduated from Lisbon High School in 1953 and on October 23, 1954 he married Carolyn Choate in Monroe, NH. In 1962, after having his three children, he graduated from New Hampshire Technical Institute in Manchester, NH. with an AA degree in electronics. Carleton worked for 35+ plus years for Simplex Time Recorder in Gardner, MA until his retirement. Throughout his life, he enjoyed playing and watching sports, owning and operating a restaurant, and working on his cottages on Lake Watatic in Ashburnham, MA. He was also a long-time member of the Chestnut Street United Methodist Church in Gardner, MA. He is survived by his 2nd wife of 18 years, Marcia Blakley Stillings of Templeton, MA whom he married in 2003; three children, Cynthia Deveikis of Ashburnham, MA, Gregory Stillings of Westminster, MA and Lori Stillings and husband Roger Titgemeyer of Trabuco Canyon, CA; seven grandchildren, Jason Deveikis and husband Loc Duong, Sabrina Rebello and husband Justin, Jacob Stillings and wife Waleska, Cortney Hudson and husband Matt, Justin Yee and wife Sarah, Alyssa Yee and partner Brandon Brisco, and Daniel Yee; eight great grandchildren, Morgan, Daniel, Taylor, Dallin & Ryan Yee, Brianna & Leona Hudson, and Jackson Brisco; a brother, Alston (Buster) Stillings and wife Leona of Rome, NY; a sister Meredith (Stillings) Langevin of Concord, NH; and many nieces and nephews. Carleton was predeceased by his 1st wife of 44 years, Carolyn (Choate) Stillings who passed in 1998; and brothers Kenneth, Rockford and Leonard Stillings. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org. Funeral services will be private.
