LEOMINSTER- Carol C. (Caouette) Collette, 81, of Leominster, died Sunday, April 1, surrounded by her family, after an illness.
She was born January 21, 1937, in Fitchburg, daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Marien) Caouette. Carol worked at Foster Grant for several years until it’s closing. She enjoyed traveling, and took many trips to Las Vegas, Aruba, and several cruises with her husband before his passing. She also enjoyed going to Foxwoods. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Her husband of 41 years, Rene Collette, died April 20, 1998. She was also predeceased by two sons, Steven and Thomas Collette, and her 13 siblings.
She leaves three children, Kendra Laviolette of Fitchburg, Kenneth Collette of Tyngsboro, and Donna Doiron and her husband, Donald with whom Carol lived; six grandchildren, Melissa Rossbach and her husband, Brian, Ricky Doiron and his companion, Lynn Stockwell, Jeremy Laviolette and his fiancée, Dina Gould, Kenneth Collette, Jr., Timothy Collette, and Nicholas Collette; five great grandchildren, Jordan Mays, Madison, Ryder, and Kendall Rossbach, and Bentley Laviolette; many nieces and nephews.
The visitation is Thursday, April 5, from 10:00 to 11:30 A.M. at Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster. The funeral will follow with a Mass at 12:00 Noon at St. Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster. Burial will follow at St. Cecilia’s Cemetery.
