Carol A. Ovaska, born on July 19, 1948, in Gardner, was a beacon of love and compassion in the lives of many. For those fortunate enough to cross her path, Carol was a woman who nurtured, cared for, and loved without limits. Her radiant smile was a source of warmth and comfort, and her hearty laugh was a contagious melody that brightened even the darkest of days. Carol's impact was not only felt in her personal life but also within the community during her time as a front end supervisor at Market Basket, from which she retired in 2010 after 28 years of dedicated service.
Carol could be found out by her pool, tending to her knockout roses or trimming the pussy willow tree. Floating in the pool and drinking a glass of moscato. She enjoyed many summers at their camp on Lake Watatic. She was the life of any party and loved to dance. She found joy in entertaining and hosting holidays and any party or cookout. She loved to go camping with friends and especially family. For many years she was a passionate collector of Annalee Dolls.
She is survived by her faithful, loving husband of 56 years, Eino Ovaska of Ashburnham; a daughter, Wendy LeBlanc of Westminster; and a son, Michael Ovaska and his wife Denise of Ashburnham. She was a devoted grandmother to Jonathan, Zachary, Abbigale, and Timothy and a devoted aunt to Tyler, Megan and Lindsey. She never missed a single football, soccer or hockey game. She also leaves a brother, Richard Noseworthy and his wife Denise of Hubbardston; and her brother in law, George “Chippa” Brown of Leominster. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Elaine Noseworthy, and her sister, Linda Brown.
