ATHOL- Caroline E. (Tedford) Kidder, 86, of Athol, died Wednesday, January 8, in her home, after an illness.
Caroline was born November 3, 1932, in Winchendon, daughter of the late Jay and Edith (Ball) Tedford. She attended Athol High School. Caroline worked for the L.S. Starrett Company for 30 years, retiring in 1995. She also was a waitress in many area restaurants and cooked at Jennie’s Lunch in Phillipston for several years. She enjoyed reading and cooking.
Her husband, Roland H. Kidder, died in 2003. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Henry, Jay, and Otis Fisher, and her half sister, Ida Poirier.
Caroline leaves her daughter, Kim Bacon-Isrow of Clinton Township, MI; two granddaughters, Elisha Becker and husband, Jon of Phoenix, MD, and Kelly Boudreau and husband, Dave of Athol; three grandsons, Caleb Orobia, Hunter and Brody Becker; her significant other, Michael Chamberlain and his children, Veronica, Mel, Rachael, Kelly, Ruthie, Bud, Bernie, Simon, Nathan, and their families; one brother, Charles Tedford of TN; one half brother, James Tedford of Moriah, NY; one sister, Mary Morandi and husband, Richard of Athol; one half sister, Fay Tedford of Moriah, NY; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Monday, January 14, at 11:00 A.M. at Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main St., Athol. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
A calling hour will precede the funeral from 10:00-11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.
