Caroline M. (Walsh) Tessier

Caroline M. Tessier Athol – Caroline M. (Walsh) Tessier, 93, of 739 Daniel Shays Highway, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at the Athol Memorial Hospital.      Caroline was born in Ayer, Massachusetts, September 1, 1920, the daughter of William F. and Caroline M. (Burke) Walsh.   She lived in Ayer for 65 years, Merrimack, NH, Goffstown, NH and Athol since 1999.        Caroline worked as a cafeteria manager for the Ayer Public Schools for many years until her retirement.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, and a former member of the Granite State Grange while living in NH.      She leaves three daughters, Roseann Allen of Amherst, NY, Elizabeth Lankford of Indianapolis, IN and Margaret Little of Lowell; seven sons, Charles Tessier of Auburn, CA, James Tessier of Fitchburg, Edward Tessier of Gulf Port, MS, Robert Tessier of Europe, Andrew Tessier of Erving, Paul Tessier of Seattle, WA and Timothy Tessier of Hobart, IN.  She also leaves many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband, Charles H. Tessier in 1968, a son John and a daughter Caroline, two brothers, John and William and a sister Edna.      A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 19 Congress Street, Orange with the Rev. Fr.
