Carolyn Mary (Truehart) Wright of Dania Beach Florida, formerly of Athol, died May 17th, 2007 at Memorial Hospital West in Pembroke Pines, Florida from complications following surgery. She was 64 years old.
She was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Elizabeth (Hume) Truehart of Athol. She lived in Athol all her life before moving permanently to Dania Beach Florida in 2005.
She leaves her daughter Kelly Wright and her partner Kena Richardson of Athol, her son Mark of Dania Beach Florida with whom she lived and sisters Shirley Gee of Dania Beach Florida, Lois Smart of Athol, brothers Richard Truehart and his wife Karen of Athol, James Truehart and his wife Barbara of Orange, Glenn Truehart and his wife Evelyn of Wyomissing PA, as well as many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband John Wright and her brothers Robert and Donald Truehart.
Carolyn was a member of Our Lady Immaculate Church of Athol and The Resurrection Church of Dania Beach. She was a Eucharist Minister of the Resurrection Church, a sister Columbiette of the Resurrection Columbiettes Auxiliary, a member of the Dania Beach Mens' and Womens' Club, The Broward County Sherrifs Citizens Observer Patrol, Meadowbrook Social Club and an active member of the American Cancer Society Survivors Club.
Carolyn enjoyed volunteer social work, baking, dining out and the beach.
She had worked many years at Erving Paper Mills and before retirement most recently worked at MacMannis Florist in Athol.
A kind, generous and thoughtful person, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 24, 2007 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Immaculate Church 192 School St, Athol. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2007, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Fiske Funeral Home 1356 Main St., Athol.
