Catherine A Lugbauer

Catherine Anne Lugbauer, 76, peacefully passed away on May 26, 2024, at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, Mass.
 
Cathy was born on Dec. 4, 1947, in Gardner, Mass., to Carl and Anne Lugbauer.  She resided in Salem, NH, for the past 23 years with her sister Christine Stewart.  Other siblings are Peter Lugbauer of East Islip, NY, and Frances Mueller of Kennebunk, Maine.  She has two nephews, John Lugbauer of Princeton, Mass., and Carl Mueller of Brooklyn, N.Y., and three nieces, Fatima Stewart of Goffstown, NH, Elizabeth Fazio of Sayville, N.Y., and Anne Ross of Wesley Chapel, Fl.

A 1965 graduate of Gardner High School, Cathy earned a BA degree at Trinity Washington University in 1969, and Master’s degree at Worcester Polytechnic
Institute.
 
 A career public relations executive, Cathy was an executive vice president and general manager of the New York office of public relations firm Creamer Dickson Basford, executive vice president  of the Weber Group, and global chief operating officer at Weber Shandwick in New York City before establishing her own firm, The Lugbauer Group. She was also a board member of Green Mountain College and served as chairman of the Council of Public Relations Firms.
 
Cathy was a devout catholic her entire life and a diehard Boston sports fan.
 
Her funeral will be a private family affair.
