ATHOL - Cecile B (Baldic) Walsh, 91 of 199 Riverview Avenue, Athol, died Monday, April 14, 2014 at home.
She was born in Lac Megantic, Quebec Canada, on June 25, 1922, the daughter of the late Homer and the late Maria (Pepin) Baldic.
She came to Massachusetts in 1929 and lived in Orange until 1961 when she moved to Athol. She worked at former Union Tool of Orange. She was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church.
She leaves two sons: Raymond F. Chandler Jr. of Las Vegas NV, Robert E. Chandler and wife Sandra of Las Vegas, NV; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, James W. Walsh who passed away March 30, 2014; one brother: Tony Baldic, five sisters: Jeannette LaMonda, Simone Parker, Margaret Malshuck, Theresa Gagnon, Blandine Baldic.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 10:00 am in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery. Following the burial a luncheon will be held at the King Phillip Restaurant, 35 State Rd., Phillipston.
