GARDNER - Celia (Lesneski) Landry, 87 of Gardner, died Tuesday, August 11, 2020 in the Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Gardner.
She was born in Gardner on August 8, 1933, the daughter of the late John and the late Josephine (Los) Lesneski.
Celia graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1951. While in high school she played on the basketball and field hockey teams and received the Little Oscar for "Best Athlete" of her class.
She was employed at Royal Steam Heating for over 30 years as an Office Administrator. Celia was a member of Holy Spirit Church. She enjoyed singing and was a member of the Chair City Pipers and also the Women of Note out of Harvard.
She leaves her husband of 61 years, James G. Landry; three sons, Michael W. Landry and his wife Christine of Franklin, James S. Landry and his wife Nancy of Leominster, Mark E. Landry and his wife Diane of Gardner; one daughter, Diane I. Clark of Gardner; two sisters, Irene Lajoie of Fredericksburg, VA, Adele Bockus of E. Templeton; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by six brothers and three sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 14, 2020 at 11:00 am in Holy Spirit Church, 50 Lovewell St., Gardner. Burial will be private in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner. Masks will be required while attending the calling hours and mass.
