  ORANGE - Charles Joseph Manewich, 76 of 35 Rosemont Ave., Orange, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 in the Athol Memorial Hospital, Athol. He was born in Athol, on March 23, 1936, the son of the late Joseph and the late Eileen (Plunkett) Manewich. Charles grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School. He owned and operated his own Dental Laboratory in Gardner and then at his home in Athol for many years. He was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church. He was a private pilot and flew his own airplane and flew it out of Orange Airport.  He leaves his wife of 13 years, Jane M. (Lavoie) Manewich; a son Chuck and a daughter Lizabeth; two brothers, James Manewich of Ludlow, William Manewich of Shelburne Falls; a sister, Anne Austin of Arizona and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 10:00 am in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 101 Main St., Athol. Burial will be private.  Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to the Massachusetts Humane Society, 87 Wharf St., Weymouth, MA 02189.
