Charlotte W. Bailey

Charlotte Winifred (Day) Bailey, 89 formerly of 355 Harvard Avenue died Wednesday, September 6, 2006 in the Birchwood Care Center, Fitchburg. She was born in Athol on November 16, 1916, the daughter of the late Charles C. and the late Frances G. (Hunt) Day. Charlotte lived in Athol most of her life. She was the last of the Day family and is survived by two sons, Bruce A. Bailey and his companion Karen Bailey of Athol and Stanwood R. Bailey, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Phillipston, nineteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, a daughter inlaw, Lisa Bailey of North Carolina, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanwood R. Bailey, Sr. who was killed on March 28, 1945 in Germany during World War II. She was also predeceased by her daughter Christine Bailey and by her son Herbert N. Bailey. She enjoyed nature, wildlife, walking, drawing, trees and books. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 8, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol. Burial will follow in Doe Valley Cemetery, Athol. A calling hour will be held Friday, September 8, 2006 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol, MA. $(document).ready(function(){ });
