Leominster- Cheryl A. (Selinga) Leger, 39, of Leominster, died at home, peacefully, Thursday, July 23.
She was born in Leominster, July 24, 1975, daughter of Dennis and Susan (Leger) Selinga. Cheryl graduated from Lunenburg High School with the Class of 1993. She earned her Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from Fitchburg State University. Cheryl was a teacher before working for DCU information center as a trainer.
Cheryl will be remembered for her smile, kindness, generosity in helping others, always putting others before herself, and most importantly, her abundant love for her two sons. She enjoyed abstract painting.
She leaves her husband of 10 years, Mark J. Leger; two sons, Kyle and Caden Leger; her parents, Dennis and Susan Selinga of Cape Coral, FL; one sister, Amy Melot of Cape Coral, FL; her maternal grandmother, Mary Ruth Leger of Fitchburg; two nieces, Brianna Melot and Kristen McCaffrey; one nephew, Logan Brooks; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Calling hours are Monday, July 27, from4:00 to 7:00 P. M. in Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
The Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, July 28, at 10:00 A. M. in St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster. Internment will be private.
