LEOMINSTER- Claire “Bubbles” Cote, 93, of Leominster, died Saturday, October 16, in her home.
She was born August 29, 1923, in Fitchburg, daughter of the late Alphonse and Rozia (Beauregard) Comeau. Mrs. Cote worked at the former Foster Grant for 20 years before her retirement. She was a member of the Leominster Senior Citizens, Golden Ages, Fitchburg Friendship Club, and the American Legion Ladies’ Auxiliary Post 151. She was a member of Saint Cecilia’s Parish.
Her husband, Francis E. Cote, son, Carl Cote, and two sisters, Rita Cotnoir, and Theresa Martin, predeceased her.
She leaves three sons, Kenneth Cote, Ronald Cote, husband of the late Patricia Cote, and Dean Cote and his companion, Naomi; eleven grandchildren, Tina, Kelly, Heather, Michael, Christopher, and Allison Cote, Marnie Salafia, Elisha Gray, Jeff McBride, Patrick King, and John David King; many great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; three brothers, Richard, Rene, and Norman Comeau; one sister, Yvonne Nickerson; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers: Raymond Comeau and Ronald Comeau.
The funeral will be held Saturday, October 22 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery.
Calling hours are Friday, October 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
