Westborough and formerly of Westminster-Claire A. (Masse) Dube, 94, died Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Beaumont Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center in Westborough.
She was the wife of the late Edward Joseph Dube, who died in 2012.
Claire leaves two sisters, Connie Mirasolo of Wakefield and Agnes Gore of Dallas TX and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her siblings, Theresa (Masse) Chapdelaine of Granby, MA, Laurent Masse of Revere, MA, Robert Masse of St. Petersburg, FL, and Genevieve (Masse) McCool of St. Petersburg, FL.
Claire was born in Chicopee on April 13, 1928 a daughter of the late Leo C. and Marguerite (Masse) Masse. She graduated from St. Paul High School in Norton VT and Rivier College in Washington, DC, where she studied French and Theology.
Claire as a young woman entered the convent and was a former Presentation of Mary, Nun. She was known as Sr. Mary of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. She worked as a teacher for many years.
Claire was a very religious woman and was a longtime member of St. Edward the Confessor Church in Westminster.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 10 Church Street, Westminster, MA 01473
Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glennallen Street, Winchendon, MA 01475
A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. in the Mack Funeral Home, 105 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
