HUBBARDSTON - Claire A. (Gaidanowicz) White, 80, of 57 Ragged Hill Road, Hubbardston, died on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at her home. She was born in Gardner on August 18, 1931, the daughter of the late Joseph L. and the late Helmi S. (Jokimaki) Gaidanowicz. She was raised in Hubbardston and graduated from Gardner High School with the class of 1950. She was a graduate of the former New England School of Accounting in 1952. Mrs. White was employed by North Central Human Services for many years until her retirement. She was a former accountant for the Town of Hubbardston, a notary public and member of the Polish Veterans' Auxiliary, AARP and the Hubbardston Golden Ages. Claire was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Gardner and a member of the church's Holy Rosary Sodality. She leaves her husband of fifty-eight years, Sidney White; three sons, Kenneth J. White and his wife Gisele of Wappinger Falls, NY, Michael P. White and his wife Eleana of Sparta, NC, Edward K. White and his wife Eileen of Hubbardston; two sisters, Betty Gaidanowicz of Gardner, Mary Lea LeBlanc of Templeton; one brother, Joseph D. Gaidanowicz of South Ashburnham; thirteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Claire was also predeceased by her son, Steven R. White, on October 23, 1995 and by her step mother, Helen Gaidanowicz, in 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 11:00 am in St. Joseph's Church, 358 Pleasant St., Gardner. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Gardner. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2011 from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. at the Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant Street, Gardner.
