Clara Albert

LEOMINSTER- Clara (Robichaud) (Richard) Albert, 85, died Thursday, June 5, 2008 at Health Alliance Hospital in Leominster, after several months of failing health. Born in St. Anthony, N.B., Canada on February 11, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Henriette Robichaud. She was raised in Canada, married Emile G. Richard and later moved to Fitchburg in 1953 and then to Leominster in 1956 with their three children. She was a member of Saint Cecilia's Parish. She worked as a seamstress at Cluets, Selig, R&M, then at E.B. Kingman. Her husband of 44 years, Emile Richard, passed away on March 5, 1988. She later remarried, Denis Albert for 17 years, who died May 31, 2007. She enjoyed spending her retirement winters in Holiday, Florida and part of the summers in Grande Digue, N.B. Canada. She is survived by one daughter, Angenette and husband Louis Roy of Leominster; one son, John P. (JP) Richard and wife Donna of Leominster; five grandchildren, Dan Richard of Dallas, TX, Kristen Petricca of Lunenburg, Jen Richard of Boston, Melissa Nastanski of West Boylston, and Kelley Roy of Leominster; also four great grandchildren, Hailey Cormier, Bella, Chase and Jaxson Petricca, as well as many nephews and nieces. She also leaves five step-daughters, two step-sons, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Yvon Guy Richard, who died October 2, 2005; also by her five sisters, and by three brothers, one of whom was her twin who died at birth. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 9, 2008 from the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
