Colleen S. Anderson

ATHOL - Colleen Siobhan Anderson, age 45, of Athol died unexpectedly Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Athol Hospital. Colleen was born October 11, 1969 in Melrose, MA. She is the daughter of the late Leonard Hanlon, Sr. and the late Edith (Coffin Small) Hanlon. Colleen is also predeceased by her granddaughter, Lillian Anderson Colleen grew up in Medford where she loved to ride horses and compete in horse shows. She earned her Associate's degree from Greenfield Community College and was extremely proud of that accomplishment. She has lived in Athol since 1997. She worked for Fiesta Shows where she met her husband Mark Anderson. Colleen enjoyed working as a PCA and for the last five years for her client Angela. Colleen will be remembered as outgoing and willing to help anyone in need. She loved all animals and when she was young she continually brought home strays. Colleen also enjoyed reading, especially true crime stories. She is survived by her husband Mark Anderson, Sr.; two daughters: Amanda Anderson and Killian Anderson both of Athol, MA and one son: Mark Anderson, Jr. of Orange, MA; A grandson, Kobie Anderson of Orange, MA; two sisters, Maureen Lund and her husband Ken of Nashua, NH and Kathleen Stanton and her husband Martin of Troy, NH; two brothers, Leonard Hanlon Jr, and his wife Kara of Medford, MA and Timothy Hanlon of Lemington, VT; and friend, Richard LaRose of Fitchburg, MA., many nieces, nephews and extended family. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM in Higgin’s-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main Street, Athol. Interment to be at a later date. A wake will be held Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Higgin’s-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main Street, Athol, is directing arrangements.
