Colleen A. (Cronin) Butkiewicz, 68, died Thursday, September 2, 2021 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester.
She was the wife of the late James A. Butkiewicz.
Colleen leaves her son, Sam Butkiewicz and his wife Emily of Leominster; her mother, Ellie Cronin of York Beach, ME; two brothers, Steven Cronin of CT, and David Cronin of NY: two sisters, Kathy Marcello of Shrewsbury and Maureen Carter of Milford and many nieces and nephews.
She is also predeceased by a sister, Ellen Gallagher and a brother Jerry Cronin.
Colleen was born in Worcester on November 20, 1952 a daughter of the late Gerald Cronin.
She graduated from High School in Worcester and from hairdressers school. She worked as a hairdresser for many years, she had recently worked at Genesis Salon in Leominster.
She was a member of the Orange Congregation of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. Colleen loved her family, friends, shopping, making wine and her beloved dog Winston more than anything else. She was an exceptional mother to Samuel, a wonderful daughter, aunt and a great friend to so many others. She was beautiful, kind, funny, talented, selfless, cool, smart, funky, and tough all at the same time. She never met a stranger and was sincerely kind to everyone. If there was one thing she could do was make people laugh.
Family and close friends will fondly remember Colleen’s ability to plan the most special details for celebrations, vacations, parties, and many festive occasions with her signature style, flair and sparkle.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Masks required for the calling hours will be held in the Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker Street, Leominster, MA 01453 on Friday, September 10, 2021 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
