LEOMINSTER – Concetta (Tata) Catalfamo, age 94, formerly of Leominster died Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Country Estates Nursing Home of Agawam.    Mrs. Catalfamo was born November 27, 1919 in Leominster the daughter of the late Santo and the late Antonia (Celli) Tata.    Mrs.Catalfamo worked at Foster Grant for many years and prior to that she worked at Great American Plastic Company.  She was a member of St. Anna’s Church for over 40 years.    For the past two years, Concetta lived at Monastery Heights Assisted Living Home in West Springfield, MA, before being transferred to Country Estates Nursing Home in Agawam this June.   She is survived by one son, Michael Catalfamo and his wife Mary of Holyoke; two grandchildren, Michael and Brian; a sister, Jenny Asermelly of Pawtucket, RI; and several nieces and nephews.   She was predeceased by her husband, Frank R. Catalfamo who died in 1966, by two sisters, Lucy Maola and Caroline from Italy; and by one brother Emilio Tata.    The funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 25, 2014 at St. Anna's Church, 194 Lancaster St., Leominster, MA.  Burial will be private in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fitchburg.   A calling hour will be Monday, August 25, 2014 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker Street, Leominster, MA.   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to St. Anna’s Church 194 Lancaster St., Leominster, MA 01453.   To send an online condolence please visit www.simardfuneralhome.com.   Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker St., Leominster is directing arrangements.     $(document).ready(function(){ });
