Constance E. "Connie" Jaillet

TEMPLETON - Constance E. (Nelson) (Geanis) Jaillet, 83, of 51 Hospital Road, Templeton, died on Sunday, January 23, 2011 in the Baldwinville Nursing Home. Connie was born in Somerville on December 3, 1927, the daughter of the late Wilburn T. and the late Rachel A. (Cameron) Nelson. She was raised and educated in Athol and was a resident of Gardner for thirty-five years. Mrs. Jaillet worked for Gardner High School as a cafeteria cashier for fifteen years and the former Atter's Supermarket in Gardner for over five years until her retirement in the late 1980s. Connie bowled for a league in Gardner many years ago, enjoyed reading and was a fan of all New England sports teams. She leaves two sons, Peter Geanis, Jr. and his wife Sally of Dudley, Edward Jaillet of Gardner; two daughters, Sharon Lee Finley and her husband Patrice of Ft. Meyers, FL, Diane Rae Vaillancourt of Gardner; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband of twelve years, Peter Geanis, Sr., in 1958; by a brother, Charles Nelson; and by two sisters, Audrey Tata and Patricia Sawin. Graveside services in Highland Cemetery, Athol, will be private. There are no calling hours.
