ATHOL - Corinne N. (Landry) LeBlanc, 81, of 3809 S. Athol Rd., Athol, died Friday, September 18, 2009 at home after a brief illness. She was born in Athol on June 7, 1928, the daughter of the late Normand J. and the late Alexina M. (Landry) Landry. Mrs. LeBlanc was raised in Athol and she attended local schools. She moved to Gardner and resided there for several years with her husband, Oscar J. LeBlanc, upon their marriage in 1947. Mrs. LeBlanc was a resident of Athol for seventy-four years, and had worked at the former Athol Comb Shop many years ago. She was a homemaker for most of her life, raising her five sons and actively supporting their endeavors over the years. She always attended football and baseball games her sons played in, and served as a Cub Scout Den Mother. Mrs. LeBlanc was devoted to her Catholic faith. She was a member of Our Lady Immaculate Church in Athol and enjoyed assisting with many of their Church fairs. Mrs. LeBlanc enjoyed traveling and vacationing around the world with her sister, Nora. Together they have visited many countries, including Australia, Mexico, and Italy. She also enjoyed knitting, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed quality time with her grand daughters, Kelly and Lindsey. She leaves five sons, Neil LeBlanc of Athol, Ernest LeBlanc and his wife Linda of Royalston, Peter LeBlanc and his wife Dianne of Beaverton, Oregon, Gary LeBlanc and his wife Lori of Athol, Steven LeBlanc and his wife Kathy of Athol; one sister, Nora Peters of Tuscon, Arizona; twenty grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of nearly fifty years, Oscar J. LeBlanc, in February of 1997. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Athol. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main St., Athol. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol, MA 01331. $(document).ready(function(){ });
