Cory Paul

Hubbardston-Cory Michael Paul, 28, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. 

He leaves his Mom and Dad, Cheryl (Cunniff) Paul and Joseph Bartolomei of Hubbardston, his grandmother, Eleanor Cunniff of Woburn, two aunts and two uncles, Alison Winer and her husband David of Derry, NH, Paul Cunniff Jr. and his wife Denise of  Tewksbury, MA, Lisa Higgins of Billerica, MA , and Craig Cunniff and his wife Lynn of Hanover, MA ; eleven cousins, Ky Winer, Brandon Winer, Hunter Winer, Andrew Cunniff and his significant other, Ciara Rossi, John Cunniff (his wife, Taylor) and daughter Shea, Jake Cunniff (his wife, Katelyn) and daughter Avery, Todd Higgins, Steven Higgins, and his significant other, Jennifer, their children Gabriella Higgins, Greyson Higgins, Max Cunniff, and Peter Cunniff, one step-sister Amy Miola and her husband Vincent; three nieces and nephews, Kiki, Stavros, and Giada, and his beloved dog Clancy. 

Cory was born in Winchester on March 12, 1995. He was a 2013 graduate of Monty Tech. He worked in the construction field most recently as a carpenter. He was a talented and gifted athlete. He started playing ice hockey for Gardner Youth Hockey and Street Hockey at the Leominster DekHockey. Cory loved playing street hockey and ice hockey. He even played field hockey in high school. He enjoyed kayaking with his Mom, camping, fishing, snowboarding, Geocaching and going to the ocean. He loved being at the family cottage in NH during the summers. He loved to be a risk taker on the back of the boat doing flips while tubing, knee boarding and wakeboarding. He will be remembered as being the best kid you could ever know and being loved by everyone who knew him. He will leave an empty void in all of our lives. 

Cory was preceded by his grandfather Paul Cunniff Sr and Uncle Steven Cunniff

A funeral service for Cory will be held on Thursday, July 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Mack Funeral Home, 105 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440.

Calling hours for Cory will precede the funeral from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. 

His burial will be Private.
