WESTMINSTER- Daniel H. Alisauskas, 75, of Westminster, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, November 21, 2017. Daniel leaves his wife: Paulette (Lizotte), his high school sweetheart of 53 years; sister: Rosalie Tanso of Gardner; his two daughters: Pamela and her husband, Peter Lavoie, of Leominster, Deborah and her husband, Michael Needham, of Gardner; his son: Scott Alisauskas and his significant other, Lisa Snyder, of Gardner; grandchildren: Joshua Needham, Cori Needham, Daniel E. Alisauskas, Amber Alisauskas and her fiance, Patrick, Jonathan Day and his wife, Brittany, Steven Day and his wife, Yelimar, Shawn Day and his wife, Amanda; great grandchildren: Phoenix, Jaylin, Emylia, Kylee, and Tilly; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Daniel was predeceased by his sister, Nellie Ann Arsenault. He was born in 1942, in Gardner, son of the late Frank and the late Marcellina J. "Rose" (Debasitis) Alisauskas. Daniel was a 1961 graduate of Gardner High School, serving as class President, and excelling in track and football all four years. He also belonged to the ski club his junior and senior years. On more than one occasion, Danny helped ensure the Northern Worcester County Football Championship in 1960. After graduation in 1961, he was drafted by the Army. He and Paulette were married before spending 18 months in Babenhauser, Germany. They lived in a nice home and learned some German culture. Daniel worked for Mass Electric as a Lineman for 35 years and was honored for his perfect attendance at his retirement. Danny worked hard maintaining the sparkling clean pool which family members enjoyed. He enjoyed deep sea fishing with fellow workers, camping, bowling with the Lithuanian League, and watching his grandchildren. Daniel was a great man and was always smiling. He was a kind and loving man and will be missed tremendously by his family and all who knew him. The family wishes to thank the Westminster Rescue Department for all they did to help Danny. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, December 8, at 10:00 A.M. at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St., Winchendon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Westminster Fire and Rescue, 7 South St., Westminster, MA 01473.
