Daniel I. Rice

FITCHBURG- Daniel I. Rice, 51, of Fitchburg, died Monday, March 6, from injuries sustained in a car accident. Danny was born March 17, 1965, in Gardner, son of Frances (DiMaria) and the late Jonathan Rice. He worked for Ferguson Landscaping. Danny was an avid fisherman, he especially enjoyed taking his nephews. He also loved camping with his girlfriend, Amy. He loved his dogs, working on cars, and was a collector of many things. He was a jack of all trades and always willing to help others. He leaves his parents, Frances and Donald Chaisson of Leominster; one daughter, Christina Spallone Rice of Florida; three brothers, his twin, Jonathan Rice and his partner, Paula of Lunenburg, Chester Rice of Florida, and Joshua Rice and his wife, Janeane of Florida; nieces and nephews, Ian, Joshua, Mychaela, Sean, Justin, Kevin, Ashley, Zak, Tyler, and Olivia; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Paul Chaisson in 2002. The funeral will be held Monday, March 13 at 10:00 AM at St. Leo's Church, 128 Main St., Leominster. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, March 12, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
