David A. Ambrose, 62, of 140 Fish St., died Monday at the Farren Care Center in Montague City.
Born in Athol, he was the son of Walter P. and Mary A. (Pazora) Ambrose. He grew up in Athol and attended its schools.
Mr. Ambrose was employed by the L. S. Starrett Co. for 38 years. He started doing sandblasting in July, 1963. He left the company in November 2001 due to illness.
He enjoyed skiing, television and working around the house. He was a member of the Franco-American Club in Athol.
Survivors include his companion of many years, Theresa Tillson of Athol, with whom he lived, two sons, David Langlois of Athol and Edward Langlois of Daytona, FL, a daughter, Mary of Athol; a brother, Walter of Palm Beach, Fl; a sister, Natalie Ferrari of Athol; two stepdaughters, Jean Smith of Athol and Corrine Nubuor of Worcester, and two stepsons, Thomas Smith of Athol and Henry F. Smith of Radcliff, KY, and two grandchildren of Daytona.
Services will be held Friday from the J. Edward Murphy Funeral Home, 137 Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 105 Main St. Interment will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery.
