David P. Buzzell

ATHOL – David Paul Buzzell, 53, has gone home to be with his Savior with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer on June 6, 2017. David was born in Athol on September 26, 1963 to the late Paul & Linda (Sanger) Buzzell. He grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School with the Class of 1982. After graduation, he joined the Army where he met his wife Karin while stationed in Germany. They have been married for 31 lovely years. He worked hard for his family. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, music, 2-way radios and being with his family and friends. Everyone said he had the biggest smile that could light up the world, even when he did not feel good. He leaves behind his wife of 31 years: Karin (Werkmeister) Buzzell; one son: Joseph Buzzell, one daughter: Adrianna Buzzell; one brother: Donald Buzzell; aunts & uncles: Shirley & Joseph Kaczmarczyk, Margaret & Mark Mottashed, Sheila & Mike McGuire; in-laws: Angelika, Harold, Michael, Thomas, Heike; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the family, friends and hospice who helped and supported them during David’s illness. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 12:00 pm in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange, MA. Burial to follow at Silver Lake Cemetery Athol.
