LEOMINSTER- David G. Constant, 62, of Leominster, died Friday, September 13, surrounded by his loving family, in the arms of his son, after an illness. He was born February 3, 1951, in Leominster, son of Omer J. and Doris F. (Champagne) Constant. He graduated from Leominster Trade School in 1971. David was known to be one of the hardest working men in town.  David enjoyed a long career in construction where he was respected as one of the most knowledgeable and experienced concrete forming experts in the industry.   David's career spanned over four decades where he has either ran or owned some of the most well known form companies in the area.  Most recently, David was with CDS Foundations which he ran with his son, Chris, until his plans for a semi-retirement were expedited with the onset of his illness.   David will be remembered for being a loving father, loyal husband, ever present son and brother, and most importantly to David, a doting and generous grandfather.  He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.   Besides his parents, Omer and Doris Constant of Leominster, he leaves his wife, Linda Gallant; one son, Christopher David Constant-Svolis and his fiancée, Zulma Ortiz of Fitchburg; one stepson, Bruce Gallant and his wife, Kristina of Winchendon; five grandchildren, Nikolas Irizarry, Stella Zoe Svolis, Maximus Zachary Svolis, Elaina and Emma Gallant; five brothers, Michael G. Constant and his wife, Eileen of East Hartford, CT, Denis O. Constant and his, wife Janice of Leominster, James M. Constant and his wife, Robin of East Hartford, CT, Ronald J. Constant and Ivan F. Constant and his wife, Erika, all of Leominster; two sisters, Joyce A. Latuga and her husband, Paul of Sterling, and Linda P. Jackson and her husband, Jerome of Raleigh, NC; many nieces and nephews.   The funeral will be held Saturday, September 21, from M.A. Simard & Son Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. in St. Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster. Burial will be private.
