David Henry Godin

November 1, 1957 — August 2, 2014

David Henry Godin (1957-2014)   LEOMINSTER, MA/PHILADELPHIA, PA- David Henry Godin, a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend, died on Saturday at the age of 56. David leaves behind wife, Deirdre, and daughter, Gabriela, who willboth, miss him beyond words. His mother, Viola, his sisters, Diane, Donna and Doreen, his brother Daniel and many nieces and nephews also survive him. His father, Henry, predeceased him.   David was a true problem-solver, a kind-hearted and upbeat person who enjoyed rolling up his sleeves and getting things done. He graduated from Bentley University and Harvard Business School.  He worked as a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in the Philadelphia office and previously he worked in Boston, Luxembourg, and Geneva. He shared his enthusiasm and strong work ethic with a supportive and highly competent team of colleagues.   David enjoyed traveling, hiking, and reading – but he especially loved the time he spent with Gabi.  Saturdays were Dave’s and Gabi’s days. They spent the entire day hanging out on the playground and then they would head home for board game marathons. Gabi and Deirdre will remember all those special times, as well as Dave’s immeasurable patience and wonderfully dry sense of humor.   A funeral Mass to celebrate his life and our love for him will be held at Saint Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic St. Leominster, at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 7. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia's Cemetery.    Calling hours are Wednesday, August 6, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. And Thursday, August 7, from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. in Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.    Memorial contributions may be made to the PWC Breakthrough Leadership Program at Bentley University, 175 Forest Street, Waltham, MA 02452.   $(document).ready(function(){ });
