It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David R Horton after a long battle with Primary Lateral Sclerosis. He was a fervent drummer, motorcycle enthusiast, and beloved family man. David, born on March 20, 1968, in Worcester, MA, was a beacon of warmth and laughter who left an indelible mark on everyone he met. He fostered a life filled with love and music.
David was a dedicated machine operator in the fiber optics industry, but his true passions lay outside the confines of his professional life. His rhythms resonated not only in the music he created as a drummer for several bands, most notably Bobby Hogan & Sugar Creek, but also in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him. An ardent motorcycle enthusiast, David's spirit was as free and untamed as the wind he loved to ride through. His love for camping and gathering around a campfire was a testament to his simplicity and his appreciation for the bare essentials of life.
Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and June Horton and Madeline Horton, his beloved grandmother "Nan" and his brother in-law Glenn Roberts. David is survived by a family who adored him. He leaves behind his loving wife, Lynn Horton and their son Travis Horton of Templeton, MA. He is also survived by his stepsons, David St.Jean and wife Shana and Matthew St.Jean and longtime partner Samantha Boudreau and his cherished grandchildren Taiya, Tyler, and Emma. His sisters, Debra Roberts and Diane Horton, and sister in-law Elizabeth Reichert and husband Gordon, brother in-law Frank Witkowski and wife Brenda and several nieces and nephews.
