TEMPLETON - David R. Littlewood,81, died Sunday, October 23, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Winchendon on September 24, 1941, a son of the late Arthur Littlewood Sr. and Blanche R. (Fisher) Littlewood.
David graduated from Ralph C. Mahar High School. He received his Associate's Degree from Mount Wachusett Community College; his Bachelor's Degree in Education from Fitchburg State College; his Masters in Education from Fitchburg State College and his MBA from Anna Maria College.
Mr. Littlewood was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Air Force.
David worked as a teacher at Ralph C. Mahar High School for 17 years and then he worked for Agawam Schools for 17 years until his retirement in 2004. He was a member of Holy Cross Church, a 4th Degree Navigator of the Knights of Columbus as well as served as Past Grand Knight. He was a member of the Baldwinville American Legion and the Otter River Sportsman Club.
Along with his wife, they enjoyed traveling extensively all over the world.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy A. (Erickson) Littlewood; a daughter, Dawn Balchuinas and her husband Gerald of Phillipston; four grandchildren, Kevin Balchuinas and his Wife Taryn Balchuinas, Sarah Balchuinas, Ruby Rivera, and Erica Palazzi.
A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at 11:30 am in Holy Cross Church 25 Cross St., Templeton. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
There are no calling hours.
