David A. Pavilaitis

ROUSES POINT - David A. Pavilaitis, 42 of 172 Lake Street, Rouses Point, NY, formerly of Leominster, died Thursday, July 13, 2006 from injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident near Montreal Quebec, Canada. He was born in Leominster, MA, on March 2, 1964, the son of Albert and Lorraine (Tessier) Pavilaitis. He is survived by his wife of twenty-one years, Lisa (Gaudet) Pavilaitis of Rouses Point, NY, formerly of Waltham. He is also survived by his two sons; Zachary of Lompoc, CA and Matthew of Rouses Point, NY, a daughter; Kelly of Rouses Point, NY, a brother; Michael Pavilaitis of Hubbardston, a sister; Susan (Pavilaitis) Hamel of Templeton, his parents; Albert and Lorraine Pavilaitis of Leominster and his Maternal Grandmother; Dorothy (Tessier) Frigoletto of Leominster. A sister, Lori (Pavilaitis) Daigle predeceased him in 1995. David was employed as a Project Manager at C & D Zodiac of Montreal, Canada. Previously, he served twenty years in the United States Air Force in an assortment of missile defense and satellite communication command roles. He retired from the U.S. Air Force at the rank of Major in 2005 after having defended his country at a wide assortment of duty stations. He graduated from Leominster High School in 1982. While enrolled there he played on the varsity football and baseball teams. He also played Babe Ruth Baseball and Pop Warner football in Leominster. While in the U.S. Air Force he earned an MBA degree at Emory Riddle Aeronautic University. David's family was his life and any endeavor he could share with his beloved wife and children gave him his greatest joy. He also enjoyed home improvement projects, boating and spectator sporting events. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 21, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union St., Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday, July 20, 2006 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the M. A. Simard & Son Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
