Baldwinville - David Sparks, age 60, of Baldwinville died Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Leominster Hospital, after a courageous battle with kidney & liver disease.
David was born April 29, 1956 in Houston, TX. He is the son of the late J.C. and the late Catherine (Chouinard) Sparks. He graduated from Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School in 1975 and later employed as a welder at C&W Fabricator, various paper companies and also worked in real estate. David was a dedicated member and an original “Dream Team” partner of ExcelChurch in Leominster.
He was a devoted and loving husband, wonderful father and Pepe. He was family oriented and loved to give family and friends a hard time for his own personal entertainment. David was a jack of all trades and could do anything he put his mind too. David, aka “Mountain Man Pep” was an outdoorsman, an avid hunter who enjoyed bow and arrows, collecting guns, motorcycles and a stock motor vehicle enthusiast. David especially had a love for his dogs who would accompany him on his nature excursions.
David is survived by his adored wife of 28 years, Patricia J. (Fortier) Sparks and two daughters, Jodie Brown of Houston, TX, Audra (Brown) and husband, Marion Kennedy of Gardner; mother-in-law, Loretta Fortier of Gardner; one sister, Anne Marie Caissie of Jaffrey, NH; nine grandchildren, Keshia (Brown) and her husband Luis Hernandez, Deidra Brown, Averill Kennedy, Bryce Tucker, Brenton Tucker, Isaiah Richards , Amilah Richards, Kailey Tucker and Sylas Kennedy; two great-grandchildren, Luis Jr. and Jayce Hernandez; many nieces and nephews, including Dominique and Joelle Caissie of Jaffrey, NH; great niece, Lexi and great nephew, Everett; one Aunt, Octavia (Sparks) King and her husband, Tom of Houston, TX and several cousins; several brothers and sisters-in-law to include Anne Marie (Fortier) & David Rivard, Rick & Laura Fortier, Jane (Fortier) & Roger Boudreau, Renee’ (Fortier) & Brian Lacombe, Elaine Fortier, Mark & Brenda Fortier, Bob & Kathy Fortier and Peter Fortier.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandson, Elias Castillo (2011); brothers-in-law, George D. Fortier (1986) and Gilles Caissie (1999); and father-in-law George A. Fortier (1986).
A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00pm, Saturday September 3rd, at Crossroads Community Church located at 839 Ashby State Road; Fitchburg, MA 01420.
