Deborah G. Urban

ATHOL- Deborah G. (McMinn) Urban 70, of Athol, died Monday, July 13, 2020 at UMass Medical Center after a short illness. Deborah was born October 24, 1949, in Virginia, daughter of the late William and the late Doreen (Pickens) McMinn. Deborah worked for Intertek in Boxborough for many years before her retirement. Deborah will be remembered for her incredible generosity and putting others before herself. She adored her children and grandchildren. Deborah was a skilled seamstress. She made clothing for her family including an intricate princess dress for her granddaughter. She also enjoyed knitting, embroidery and cooking. She leaves two sons, Jason Urban and his wife, Laura of Hillsboro, NH and Matthew Urban and fiancé, Joy Larrabee of Barre; one daughter, Rebecca Colgate and her husband, Robert of Gardner; five grandchildren, Zachary, Noah and Kylie Urban, and Tyra and Ryan Colgate; her former husband, Charles “Chuck” Urban; and one brother, David McMinn of Springfield, IL. Deborah was predeceased by her niece, Stacie McMinn. Calling hours are Sunday, July 26, from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the Mack Family Funeral Homes, Lamoureux-Smith & Poliks Chapel, 105 Central St., Gardner.
