Denise M. Jillson

ORANGE- Denise M. (Armstrong) Jillson, RN, 53, of Orange, died Monday, December 11, after a brief illness. She was born March 11, 1964, in Dorchester, daughter of Charles M. Armstrong and the late Margaret (Alves) Armstrong. Denise was a registered nurse working for Gardner Visiting Nurse’s Association as a Hospice and visiting nurse. Her passion for nursing was lovingly felt by her patients. Denise loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, kayaking, and taking in the beauty of nature around her. She also enjoyed going to concerts, beach vacations, her Jeep, her dogs, and going on adventures. Above all, she loved her family. She cherished the time she spent with her daughters and granddaughter. Besides her father, Charles Armstrong and his wife, Jane, she leaves her husband, Howard Jillson; two daughters, Jessica Garrity and Laura Garrity and her companion, Lucas Killay; one granddaughter, Lily Killay; two brothers, Robert Armstrong and his wife Ruth, and Brian Armstrong and his wife, Cindy; two sisters, Donna Ellis and her husband, George, and Linda Vokey and her fiancé, Rob Cabral; several nieces and nephews. A calling hour will be held Monday, December 18, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with her funeral immediately following in Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange. Burial will follow in Tully Cemetery.
