Dennis R. Mailloux 72, of Tewksbury died Sunday, January 19, 2025, after battling a 6 month illness. Dennis was born in Fitchburg, and was a longtime resident of Westminster. He received a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. After graduation he worked as a mechanical engineer for Polaroid, which later became Digimark, where he spent most of his career. This work allowed for the creation and authentication of licenses and identification cards that many government entities use today.
Dennis leaves his loving wife Jane Mihingo-Mailloux of Tewksbury, his brother Paul Mailloux of Utah, his son, Brian Mailloux of Leominster, his daughter, Jennifer Rochon and her companion Mike Haley of Westminster, his step daughter Caroline Nguku of Tewksbury, step son George Nguku and his wife Faith Wairimu of Denmark. He also leaves his dear grandchildren Nataly Mbagari, Olivia Nyota, Natalya Mbagari, Emilia Haley, Olin Nyota, and Neythan Mbagari.
He was predeceased by his devoted mother Anna Mailloux, of Westminster, his father Roger Mailloux of Lodi CA, his step father Leo Rameau (T-Boy) of Westminster, and a large Italian family including many devoted aunts and uncles.
Dennis was well-loved, and will be remembered for his intelligence, kindness, quick smile and love of life. His passions were golfing (particularly with his son), boating (including building his own boat), travelling, gardening, and trips to Ogunquit, Maine. He spent many hours helping his daughter learn to pitch, ski, skate and develop a business acumen in younger years. Quality time with his family meant everything to Dennis.
