Dolores J. Adams Traveled Extensively
ATHOL - Dolores J. (Goupil) Adams, 64, of 56 Lumber St., died on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002 in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare, after a lengthy illness.
She leaves three daughters, Verna Lee of Athol, Charlene Sundstrom of Phillipston, and Chris Poole of Fayetteville, N.C.; her close companion of 34 years, Charles Petrowsky; a brother, Vernon Goupil of Athol, and a sister, Irene Chaisson of Charlestown, R.I.; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and one great-grandson; and seven nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Daniel Adams, who died in 1990. She was also predeceased by a brother, David Goupil.
She was born in Athol on June 29, 1938, a daughter of Xavier and Bella (Duguay) Goupil, and was a lifelong resident of town. She attended Athol schools.
She was employed at the Athol Memorial Hospital in the housekeeping department several years ago. She travelled extensively and had visited 27 different countries. She also enjoyed dining out.
The graveside service will be held Thursday, Aug. 15 at 10 a.m. in Gethsemane Cemetery, with Deacon James Couture of St. Francis of Assisi Church officiating.
There are no calling hours.
