Dolores Marie (Ahlers) Paliulis, 73, died on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Athol Memorial Hospital.
She leaves her husband Stanley Paliulis Jr; one daughter Kimberly M. Rice Filieo and her husband Andrew of Athol; two sons, Stanley "Lee" Paliulis III and his wife Lois of NC and Todd Paliulis of Holyoke; seven grandchildren, Megan Paliulis , Makayla Rice, Kyle Rice, AJ Filieo, Cole Paliulis, Kevin J. Rice and his wife Natasha and Krystin King and her husband Dan; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Eugene Ahlers Jr, Peter Ahlers and Glenn Ahlers; one sister Patricia Tourigney and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Dolores was born in Queens, New York on September 16, 1948 a daughter of the late Eugene Sr and Charlotte E. (Garcia) Ahlers. She was a 1966 graduate of Narragansett Regional High School. She worked for the former Union Twist Drill Co in Athol as a key punch operator, then for Simplex and then for MetLife Insurance Co as an insurance salesperson. She finally worked for her father-in-law as a bookkeeper at Stan's Body Shop. Dolores loved to do any type of crafts, such as quilting, crocheting, ceramics and oil painting. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by her dog Pickles and grandcat Keke. Funeral service will be private.
