GARDNER - Domenic F. Lascari, 96 of Gardner, died Friday, December 21, 2012 in the Legend Rehabilitation And Nursing Center, Gardner.
He was born in Danbury, CT, on April 26, 1916, the son of the late John and the late Anna (Sciacca) Lascari.
A WW II veteran, he was an avid golfer and advocate for healthy living. He was a man of great compassion and kindness. Before moving to Florida in 1985, he was the owner of Guildcraft Monuments in Natick, MA. He considered that business a calling and a privilege. He kept a scrapbook full of letters and notes from customers attesting to the great comfort he gave them in their bereavement.
He leaves a daughter, Eleanor M. Lascari of Hubbardston, MA; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Muriel Lascari of Marietta, GA; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret A. (Fidler) Lascari, by his daughter, Barbara Ann O'Brien, by his sister, Vera Wood, by his second wife, Obeline (Kilmartin) Lascari, and his nephew, John Lascari.
A memorial Mass will be held at St. Stephen’s Church, 221 Concord Street, Framingham, MA on Saturday, March 2 at 10:00 a.m. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
