Donald S. Bastine

Donald S. Bastine Athol – Donald S. Bastine, 71, of 224 South Street, died Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.       Donald was born in Leominster, Massachusetts, November 23, 1942, the son of Adolphus and Lovina (Como) Bastine.  He attended Leominster schools and Sexton Trade School in Leominster.  He grew up in Leominster, later moving to Florida and Virginia and since 1978 has resided in Athol.         He worked for Union Products of Leominster, Union Twist Drill in Athol and Quabbin Valley Healthcare until his retirement.  He was an avid sports fan, enjoying baseball, football and hockey, going to the casino, most especially spending time with his family.         He leaves his wife Rita (Florence) Bastine; two sons, Keith and Ryan Bastine, both of Ft. Pierce, FL; three daughters, Tara Vietkevicius of Shipman, VA, Tia Bastine of Leominster, and Sharon Bastine of Ft.
