ATHOL - Donald W Lewis, 86 of 98 Wellesley St., Athol, died Monday, October 29, 2007 at home.
He was born in Caribou, ME, on August 4, 1921, the son of the late Frank and the late Minnie (Treadwell) Lewis.
He was a Shoe Maker, employed by McElewn Shoe Company for many years.
His hobbies were fishing, Nascar, and playing cards. He enjoyed most sports and was an avid Braves and Boston sports team fan. He loved blueberry and strawberry picking (spending time in the garden at the Farm).
He leaves his wife: Katherine (Wright) Lewis, one daughter: Kathleen Perez of Hardwick, and one son: Andrew Lewis of Athol; two sisters: Eileen Grits and husband Bernard of Athol and Edna Jonkoniec of Clinton, ME and one brother: Wayne Lewis of Englewood, CO. He was predeceased by his son Dennis Lewis, his stepson Joseph Duguay and his two brothers Lloyd and Lawrence Lewis.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
No calling hours are scheduled.
