Donald L. Osborne Sr.

Donald L Osborne Sr. of Athol, passed on February 2, 2024. Don was born In Boston, Ma on April 6, 1931 to Arthur and Grace (Kerringan) Osborne. Don is predeceased by his loving and devoted wife Carolyn H (Holloway) Osborne who passed in January 2013. They were married in June of 1953 and spent 60 wonderful years together.

Don retired from Union Twist Drill and Starrett's as a skilled machinist and Foreman. He spent his retirement years helping with maintenance at Tully Brook Apartments, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He was a Past Master for the Athol Lodge of Free Masons and a member of the Shriners. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

Don enjoyed a very active life and loved snowmobiling, gardening, square dancing, golf and playing the lottery scratch tickets.

Don leaves behind two sons, Donald Osborne Jr of Orange, MA, James Osborne of Athol, MA., and a daughter Donna Anderson of Athol, MA. Grandchildren Erica Anderson of Gardner, Deanna Haddocks and her husband John of Athol, Tiffany Osborne and her partner Teddy Francois of Gardner and Donald Osborne 3rd of Orange. Great Grand children Eryn and Abbey Dahl of Gardner, Brielle and Brooke Haddocks of Athol and King Francois of Gardner, and many nieces and nephews.

He also leaves behind his brother Phillip Osborne of Amherst.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers Arthur Osborne, Robert Osborne, Eugene Osborne, Kenneth Osborne, and a sister Joyce Cromwell.
