Donna M. Currier

Donna M. (Bourgault) Currier of Leominster, MA, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the age of 56. Donna grew up in Fitchburg, MA and graduated from St. Bernard's High School. She raised her family in Lunenburg, MA and also resided in Hampton Falls, NH for 6 years. Her priority was being a full-time mother. Donna is survived by her four daughters: Beth Bowers and her husband, Mark of Melrose, MA; Stephanie Goryl and her husband, Craig of Wakefield, MA; Rainelle Comeau and her husband, Douglas of Somerville, MA; Alyssa Currier and Adam Boucher of Portsmouth, NH; and their father, Jerome Currier of Orange, MA. She also leaves her mother, Jacqueline Bourgault of Ogunquit, ME; sister, Diane Bourgault and her husband, Paul Normandin of Ashby, MA; brother, Daniel Bourgault and his wife, Monica, of North Branford, CT; brother, Douglas Bourgault and his wife, Sheryl of Leominster, MA; and brother, Donald Bourgault of Ogunquit, ME. Donna is predeceased by her father, Roland Bourgault of Fitchburg, MA and brother, David Bourgault, of Ashburnham, MA. She is also survived by several beloved nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Donna was a devoted mother, loving daughter and caring sister. She was a woman of strong faith who often inspired others with the strength and purity of her convictions. A woman of many talents, she enjoyed painting, gardening, crocheting and doing crafts. Most importantly, Donna knew how to show and give love openly and for that she will be deeply missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 11:00 am in St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker St., Leominster, MA.
